COMMENTS:Silicondust has introduced the new HDHR3 network tuner, and in the process, stopped production of its original HDHomerun tuner. The HDHR3 has a smaller form factor than its predecessor, along with newer generation tuners and only one RF (coax) input which splits the incoming signal with zero loss. The cost has also been lowered by $40. Not bad for the most revolutionary PC tuner on the market. This tuner won’t work for satellite TV users, but is great for over-the-air reception and for clearQAM (unencrypted cable). You won’t get your standard cable channels which are usually analog because these are strictly digital tuners. If you want to experience all the Premium cable channels (with the exception of pay-per-view) you might want to wait for the new 3 tuner HDHR Prime expected in the summer of 2011. It will require a cablecard be installed (by your friendly cable technician) to receive, record and watch live all digital cable channels on your PC. Windows 7 is also required for this functionality.
