Review of the Artec T14A USB Tuner

PROSWorks in Media Center 2005 and Vista Media Center with latest driversDon’t have to open the case or taking up a PCI slotNo internal card to cool and less power consumption than a standard PCI cardGood for Laptops, even the included antenna fits easily in a carrying caseLow costCONS Runs hotter than other USB tunersA noticeable video skip/jerk ever 55 seconds when using the included application or Media Center 2005. Won’t work properly with the ATI HDTV Wonder when using MCEIncluded application does not record or time-shiftAverage to poor at pulling in weak signalsNo Remote
COST: Around $60
COMMENTS: This is an OK tuner for most newer laptops. The big downside is the sometimes noticeable, somethings subtle screen display skip every 55 seconds.
