Build a Cheap HDTV

For $180 or less turn your PC into a cheap HDTV and HDTV recorder.

First, make sure your monitor can support at least 1024x768 resolution. Click here to see how check your monitor.

Second, check your operating system. It needs to be either Windows 98 SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000 or Windows XP. Your system will tell you the operating system type when you boot the PC.

Third, your PC's CPU needs to be a Pentium-III 800Mhz or faster. Click here to see how to check.

Fourth, purchase a MyHD MDP-130 HDTV card and install it in a vacant PCI slot in your PC.

Fifth, connect the MyHD card to an antenna and/or coax from your local cable provider and scan the channels.

That's it. Now your PC is a HDTV signal receiver and a HDTV recorder. Your PC monitor is now a HDTV!

You can also connect the MyHD card to a real HDTV monitor using either a VGA or component connection.
