Guide to HDTV Tuner Forums

One of the best and most active forums about HDTV Tuners and related subjects is the AVS Forum. I’ve learned much and had many questions answered using this service.

It’s very simple to register, and you can post questions for free. To only view a forum thread, no registration is required. Many of the HDTV tuner cards have their own thread (posting area).

Another informative site for ATI multimedia is the Rage3D forum.

If you have Media Center, The Green Button Community is an excellent resource.

Here’s a few guidelines if you haven’t posted on a forum before.

No questions about illegal software/downloads

No advertising products.

If you are new to the forums, be humble and say you are a newbie when you post.

Search all discussions before starting a new thread. There always seems to be three or four “what’s the best …” threads.

Don’t post your question in two are more threads at the same time.

Make your best effort to find an answer from existing posts prior to asking a question. At a minimum review the last two or three pages of the thread where you plan to post your question.
