• Dvico, maker of the Fusion tuners, is one of the pioneers in the HD PC tuner world. They are still one of the few to offer both over the air and QAM (cable unencrypted HD) support. The knock on the Fusion product has always been the application interface, which has a history of being buggy. The hardware and drivers have always been solid. Recently the application stability has improved. If you get this tuner, you’ll want to download the latest drivers (see link below).
  
  

  This tuner works well with Media Center, both with MCE 2005 and the new Vista OS, and it can perform double duty as both an analog and digital over the air tuner in either. Go here for routine to use it for analog and digital in MCE 2005 and Vista RC1, and here for Vista RC2 or later.
  
  Unfortunately you cannot tune unencrypted digital channels from cable using Media Center at this time. Microsoft may support it in later versions of Vista. So for QAM you’ll need to use the Fusion application. You can use the free TitanTV ( link here ) for scheduling programs.

  
  NOTE: This unit gets all it's power from the USB port. Consider purchasing a powered hub if you use your other USB ports.
