Kram Drivers Install Routine for Vista RC1
Yes, Kram Drivers work with Vista! The RC1 and later releases do not require an analog card (MCE 2005 does), however if you want to use the ATI HDTV Wonder, ATI 650 Wonder or Fusion HDTV5 for both analog and digital/HDTV in Vista MCE, then Kram Drivers will still work.
THIS ROUTINE WORKS ONLY WITH RC1 which no longer supported (as of June 2007)!!
Go
here
for the installation routine for the current Vista releases.
To install the ATI Remote Wonder Plus (from the ATI HDTV Wonder package) under Vista go
here.
Begin by powering off your PC and installing the tuner card in an open PCI slot.
Boot, Vista will detect the card and install the drivers automatically.
Next, install decoders, however this is optional. Microsoft has provided their own decoders for Vista Media Center. I would suggest using them for now.
Next , install the Kram drivers. Download the KramMCE drivers (download here).
Unzip, then go to kramsMCE>MCEE, run setup.
Reboot and you are finished.
Now you can go to Media Center and begin TV setup.
Note: Once setup is complete, and you start Live TV, you will be at the lowest analog station in your area. Channel down to get to the digital stations.
If you get choppy analog video, you may need encoder software. Go
here
for more information.
Let me know if there are problems with the install or any suggestions to make this a better routine by going to
