Install Routine for the OnAir GT USB Tuner, Kram Drivers and Media Center 2005

Autumnwave went out of business March 11, 2010. New products and support are no longer available.
YOU can use the OnAir GT HDTV tuner under the Media Center Edition (MCE) 2005 application without an analog tuner using the Kram Drivers
NOTE: An analog tuner is NOT required for Vista RC1 or later MCE.
Here's the usual disclaimer: "This routine is provided for informational purposes only and is not supported by Autumnwave or Microsoft. This site cannot be held liable for any problems created by installing said routine. In other words, install at your own risk."
THE INSTALL:
First, install MCE rollup 2, if not installed already. If you are unsure if you have MCE Rollup 2, Open MCE, go to Settings, then General, then About Media Center. Under the Version number, you’ll see Update Rollup 2 if it’s installed. If not, go online to Microsoft Update, choose the custom option and download Rollup 2 (KB900325).
Insert the OnAir GT installation CD. You should see the following screen:

Install the drivers and then the program. Part of the program install includes the Nvidia PureVideo Decoders. These decoders are generally acknowledged as the best decoders on the market. Once the drivers and application are installed, go to the OnAir web site
, download and install the latest drivers and program for the GT. NOTE: You need to load from the CD first to get the Nvidia Decoders. Now connect the GT to your PC via the included USB cable and connect an over the air antenna or the included antenna.
Next, Download and unzip the Kram drivers (download here).
Run setup and reboot. Start the Media Center application and go to Settings>TV>Setup TV Signal Go through the entire setup. Make sure you download the Guide. Now, go back to the MCE Main Menu Select Settings>TV>Guide>Edit>Channels Click "Clear All". Page down to the Digital Channels (those greater than 1000) and check your local digital channels by clicking on the box to the left of the channel. Make sure no analog channels are checked (the ones less than 1000) Click "Save", then go back to the MCE Main Menu Select My TV>Recorded TV>Add Recording>Guide At this point you should see the current TV listings for your local digital channels. Select any show that is currently active on any of the digital stations. After a few seconds that station will begin playing. Exit MCE. This completes the setup. Now, anytime you enter Live TV, you will begin on a Digital Channel and as you channel up or down, you will only see the digital channels you selected. You may need to adjust your antenna to maximize signal strength.
NOTE: If you try to use the GT for analog in MCE, you will get a picture but no sound.
