The Aero-m is basically the hybrid HVR-959Q specifically designed for in-town laptop users. The built-in telescopic antenna will pull-in a quality HD signal only if you are within 20-25 miles from your area’s broadcast towers. Go to the transmitter locator to see how close you are.

You can use Windows Media Center, or if you have XP, use the included WinTV application to view, record and pause HDTV. Even watch TV in a minimized screen while working in other applications. The included remote works only with the WinTV app, but you can control all the functions with the keyboard and mouse. You can also use the Aero-m to receive cable programs (unencrypted digital and analog), or attach an external antenna to pickup distant stations using the included cable attachment.

NOTE: Windows 7 will configure this tuner as both an analog and digital tuner. However since this is a hybrid tuner you can only watch/record one show at a time.
